The Children's Museum of the Magic Valley (CMMV) is an emerging hands-on children's museum located in Twin Falls. CMMV will feature exhibits, programming, and children's activities. These activities are provided to the Magic Valley's 37,000 children ages birth through 11 years old.
The research and concept development behind CMMV has been ongoing since mid-2018 when it was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. A volunteer board of directors works diligently to bring this educational amenity to the community.
Our mission is to engage children of all ages and abilities in learning through imaginative play and discovery.
Our vision is to be a gathering place that builds wonder and curiosity in children and families.
The Children's Museum of the Magic Valley launched a community outreach program and over 2,000 people took part in hands-on mobile exhibits over the summer.
The museum expanded their impact by partnering with area elementary schools to host STEAM Family Nights. They served 2,850 individuals in the first year of educational outreach.
The traveling museum's efforts to secure a physical location paid off!
The regularly scheduled programs were changed to create a more social distance-friendly event. This adjustment carried on through the rest of the year and into the next.
But the museum didn't just stop at community outreach. Establishing a permanent, state-of-the-art children's museum in Twin Falls is the ultimate goal.
By working with the Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency the children’s museum has secured property for their site on the corner of 3rd Avenue South and Idaho Street South.
