Twin Falls Golf Club, the 18-hole municipal golf course, has been a decades-long treasured fixture in the city. Golfers favor its close location, challenging play, and reasonable rates. The “Muni” with its driving range and putting greens provides recreation for all ages.
Among the regulars at the course are the informal group called “Friends of Muni.” They had been financing amenities for the course in support the city’s maintenance efforts. They turned to TFCF to formalize their process. As the proceeds of their annual tournament and other donations became available, their directions for purchases of materials were carried out by TFCF. City maintenance staff then provided the labor. Through the years, they built tee boxes, upgraded cart paths, planted trees and refreshed sand traps and bunkers. And the turf– there was constant seeding and sodding, thousands of square feet worth.
Maintaining a facility the size of the Muni, its 18 holes, driving range and putting greens, requires constant attention.Local golfers give the Muni high marks for the facility and its professional staff.
